This year we collaborated with Robinson Research Institute to get their 1.5T MRI system up and running using our Kāhu spectrometer console.

At the very beginning of my journey into the field of NMR/MRI, I learnt about something exciting: MRI systems can be programmed to produce music. Last week I realised that, with an MRI system sitting on my bench and a pulse sequence program open on my PC, there was actually nothing stopping me from turning my own imaging system into a whimsical musical instrument.

Help! I put a cool sample into my ilumr MRI system and hit run on one of the dashboards, but the image isn't looking as amazing as I had hoped. Where do I go from here? How do I improve my MR image?
