Lab 1: Intro to NMR

This lab briefly introduces nuclear magnetic resonance and covers basic NMR concepts:

  • B0 and B1

  • Larmor Frequency

  • Free Induction Decay

  • Flip Angle

  • B0 Inhomogeneity

  • Spin Echoes

Lab 2: Imaging & K-Space

This lab covers basic MR Imaging concepts:

  • Gradients

  • Frequency Encoding

  • Phase Encoding

  • K-Space

  • Field of View

  • Resolution

Lab 3: Selective Excitation

This lab covers selective excitation:

  • RF Pulse Design

  • Slice Profiles

  • Slice Offsetting

  • Relationships between pulse bandwidth, gradient strength, slice thickness and SNR.

Lab 4: Relaxation and Contrast

Engineered for NMR​, low noise and fast recovery.

  • Bandwidth of 2 - 50 MHz

  • Gain of 43 dB @ 10 MHz

  • Standard SMA connectors & 12V DC supply
